About the Event
Watercolor Sketching
August 17, 2024
1:30 - 4:30p
I'll be hosting this workshop in the old Fort Vancouver Library which has been closed and is now being refurbished into an art center by a non-profit called The Arts Centered. (https://theartscentered.org/)
Sketching is an expressive and liberating art form that relies on vagueness of line and form. In this art workshop, you will be introduced to basic sketching techniques of people, places and flowers. NO DRAWING SKILL NEEDED. I will show you how to use ink and pencil to lay down lines that help map out watercolor painting. NO PAINTING SKILL NEEDED.
This is a forgiving and playful art practice that allows for all skill levels including beginner to explore creative expression. I will guide you step by step how to make watercolor sketches that are lively as well as fun to make. Each participant will create at least two paintings to take home on 9x12 watercolor paper. This workshop is open to ages 13 on up.
ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDED in your registration including professional grade watercolor paint.
Cancellation Policy
This is a non-refundable workshop. Due to the nature of what I offer, I am unable to provide a refund or credit to a future workshop. You may transfer your spot to another person if you are unable to attend. Just let me know so I can add their name to the roster. In the unlikely event that circumstances beyond my control warrant canceling the event, students will receive a full refund minus the service fee.
